HMS Supply 1759

Here is the HM Supply the Smallest Vessel of the First Fleet in 1788, to sail to Australia, and was the first to Enter Australia’s Shores. 1 out of 11 ships, she was the smallest a Tender, Originally plying the Thames for many years, she was then employed on her first ocean going voyage. She survived the Loss of the Sirius in Norfolk Island and even returned back to England.

My model was originally designed for distant views from the shoreline, as my then boss had said, “We are illustrating not on the decks but from the shoreline” Later I had to begin improving the details as we began featuring more close up camera views. However I was not given the chance to implement all the improvements I had planed to make in the time restraints.

Reference Material came from Drawings, Paintings from the time, and similar vessel References.

The model had been designed for Animation as well as a Prop. And was originally produced for the Virtual Songlines Project.

The latest Revision with some Improved detail pieces added.

The HMS Supply as seen in Blender with the main texture map applied, Note the model would allow many layers to be turned and turned off.
